# Romans 16 General Notes
### Structure and formatting
In this chapter, Paul gives personal greetings to some of the Christians in Rome. It was common to end a letter in the ancient Near East with this type of personal greeting.
### Other possible translation difficulties in this chapter
Because of the personal nature of this chapter, much of the context is unknown. This will make translation more difficult. (See: [[rc://en/ta/man/jit/figs-explicit]])
