It is by this that we are encouraged

his spirit was refreshed by all of you
Here the word "spirit" refers to a person's temperament and disposition. This can be stated in active form. AT: "all of you refreshed his spirit" or "all of you made him stop worrying" (See: rc://en/ta/man/translate/figs-activepassive)
For if I boasted to him about you
"For although I boasted to him about you"
I was not embarrassed
"you did not disappoint me"
our boasting about you to Titus proved to be true
