Q? What kind of woman does the prophet compare the people to?
A. He compares them to a woman who has left her husband. [3:1]

A. The rains did not come because the people were not ashamed of their sins. [3:3-5]

A. Israel acted like a promiscuous woman by worshiping idols. [3:6]

A. He divorced her. [3:8]

A. Judah did the same things Israel had done. [3:8-10]

A. He invites them to return. [3:12]

A. They must acknowledge their sin. [3:13]

A. He will give them shepherds after his heart. [3:15]

A. The weeping and pleading of the people of Israel is heard on the plains. [3:21]

A. Idols have consumed the things that the ancestors worked for. [3:24]
Q? What have the people and their ancestors done?
A. They have not listened to the voice of Yahweh their God. [3:25]
