Connecting Statement:
Jesus begins to teach about how he has come to fulfill the Old Testament law.
the prophets

truly I say to you
"I tell you the truth." This phrase adds emphasis to what Jesus says next.
until heaven and earth pass away

not one jot or one tittle

all things have been accomplished
