These are Yahweh's words about Israel.

Disaster upon disaster will come

Disaster is spoken of as if it could move by itself. AT: "One disaster after another will happen" (See: rc://en/ta/man/translate/figs-personification)

they will seek a vision from the prophet

"they will ask the prophets what visions they have seen"

the law will perish from the priest and advice from the elders

"The priests will not teach the law, and the elders will not be able to give good advice." This is because God will not give them wisdom.

the prince

Possible meanings are 1) "the king's son" or 2) every male member of the royal family except the king.

will dress in despair

Possible meanings are 1) clothing is a metonym for what a person feels, "will have no hope," or 2) "will dress in clothes that show he is mourning." (See: rc://en/ta/man/translate/figs-idiom and rc://en/ta/man/translate/figs-metonymy)

the hands of the people of the land will tremble in fear

The word "hands" is a synecdoche for the people. AT: "the people of the land will be so afraid that their hands will tremble" (See: rc://en/ta/man/translate/figs-synecdoche)
