# Connecting Statement:

The prayer that Nehemiah begs Yahweh to listen to ([Nehemiah 1:5](./05.md)) continues.

|
This phrase refers to Jerusalem, where the temple was located. Alternate translation: "to Jerusalem, where I have chosen ... remain" (See: [[rc://en/ta/man/jit/figs-explicit]])

# where I have chosen to make my name remain
|
|
|
|
