It is implied that a man is naked when he is born. In addition to being without clothing, here the word "naked" emphasizes that people are born without any possessions. Alternate translation: "As a man is naked and owns nothing when he is born ... he will leave this life the same way" (See: [[rc://en/ta/man/jit/figs-metaphor]])
# comes from his mother's womb
"is born"
# he will leave
This refers to dying. Alternate translation: "he will die" (See: [[rc://en/ta/man/jit/figs-euphemism]])
# He can take none of the fruits of his labor in his hand
Here a man's possessions are spoken of as if they are fruit that he grew with his labor. Alternate translation: "He can not take any of his possessions with him" (See: [[rc://en/ta/man/jit/figs-metonymy]])
