before they came together

"before they got married." This may refer to Mary and Joseph sleeping together. Alternate translation: "before they had slept together" (See: rc://en/ta/man/jit/figs-euphemism)

she was found to be pregnant

This can be stated in active form. Alternate translation: "they realized that she was pregnant" or "it happened that she was pregnant" (See: rc://en/ta/man/jit/figs-activepassive)

by the Holy Spirit

The power of the Holy Spirit had enabled Mary to have a baby before she had slept with a man.
