Jesus has traveled from Jerusalem to Galilee. A crowd has followed him up a mountainside. These verses tell the setting of this part of the story. (See: [[rc://en/ta/man/jit/writing-background]])

The phrase "these things" refers to the events in [John 5:1-46](../05/01.md) and introduces the event that follows.

|
