This can be translated with an active verb. AT: "that God promised to Abraham and his descendants that they would inherit the world" (See: rc://en/ta/man/translate/figs-activepassive)
but through the righteousness of faith
The words "God gave the promise" are left out of this phrase but they are understood. AT: "but God gave the promise through faith which he considers as righteousness" (See: rc://en/ta/man/translate/figs-ellipsis)
if those of the law are heirs
AT: "if it is those who obey the law that that will inherit the earth"
faith is made empty and the promise is nullified
AT: "faith has no value and the promise is meaningless"
but where there is no law, neither is there disobedience
AT: "but when is no law, there is nothing to disobey" This could also be translated as a positive statement. AT: "because where there is law people will disobey it" (See: rc://en/ta/man/translate/figs-litotes)
