Ritual
A “ritual” is something people do to serve God. They do rituals in the exact same way every time. Rituals are often done at the same times of the day or year. Rituals are made from religious rules or from rules made by the people of a community.
Examples of Jewish rituals in the Old Testament are performing circumcision, offering sacrifices for sin, and honoring the Sabbath. Examples of Christian rituals are baptizing Christians and celebrating the Lord’s Supper.
