In the Bible, the color white is often a symbol for something that is pure, holy, and righteous.

God the Father, Jesus, and angels appeared in white clothes (see: Daniel 7:9; Luke 9:28-29; Acts 1:10). When God forgives people, it is like their sins are changed from red to white (see: Isaiah 1:18). Those whom God saved will be given white clothes (see: Revelation 3:5).
