# Connecting Statement:

Judas betrays Jesus with a kiss, and the disciples all flee.

|

This refers to Judas.
|

# he is the one
|
|
|
|
Here "the one" refers to the man that Judas was going to identify. AT: "he is the one you want" (See: [[rc://en/ta/man/translate/figs-explicit]])

# he kissed him
|
|
|
|
"Judas kissed him"
|
|
|
|
# laid hands on him and seized him
|
|
|
|
