\v 16 It was not based on a law of physical requirement that he became a priest, but instead was based on the power of an everlasting life. Hebrews 7:21 now reads: \v 21 but he became a priest with an oath by the one who said to him, \q "The Lord has sworn and he will not change his mind: \q 'You are a priest forever.'" Hebrew 9:15 now reads: \v 15 For this reason, he is the mediator of a new covenant. This is so that, since a death has taken place to redeem those under the first covenant from their transgressions, those who are called will receive the promise of an eternal inheritance. Hebrews 9:26 now reads: \v 26 If that had been the case, then he would have had to suffer many times since the foundation of the world. But now he has appeared at the end of the ages to do away with sin by the sacrifice of himself. |

Unlocked Literal Bible - English
a Bible intended to be freely available for people to translate into any language
Overview
The Unlocked Literal Bible (ULB) is an open-licensed version of the Bible derived from The American Standard Version, and updated using the most reliable Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek copies of the Biblical texts available. It is intended to accurately reflect the meanings of those texts and to be used as a source text for Bible translators to translate the Bible into their own language. This repository contains the USFM source files for the Unlocked Literal Bible.
