# For Yahweh approves of the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish

How people live is spoken of as if it were a "way" or "road" that they are walking on. Alternate translation: "how the righteous live" (See: [[rc://en/ta/man/translate/figs-metaphor]])

How people live and what they do is spoken of as if it were a "way" or "road" that they walk on. Possible meanings are 1) the way perishing represents the wicked perishing because of how they live. Alternate translation: "The wicked will die because of how they live" or 2) the way perishing is a metaphor for no longer being able to live the way they do.
