# Luke # ## Facts: ## Luke wrote two books of the New Testament: the gospel of Luke and the book of Acts. * In his letter to the Colossians, Paul refers to Luke as a doctor. Paul also mentions Luke in two of his other letters. * It is thought that Luke was a Greek and a Gentile who came to know Christ. In his gospel, Luke includes several accounts that highlight Jesus' love for all peoples, both Jews and Gentiles. * Luke accompanied Paul on two of his missionary journeys and helped him in his work. * In some early church writings, it is said that Luke was born in the city of Antioch in Syria.
