Amos 4:5
Offer a thanksgiving sacrifice with bread;
proclaim freewill offerings; announce them,
for this is what you love to do,
you people of Israel—
this is the declaration of the Lord Yahweh.
mêḥāmêṣ "with leaven"
Bread was not the issue. Leavened bread was the issue.
Most other versions include the idea of "leaven" -- not just bread.
Suggestion: Change "bread" to "leavened bread."
(The ULB uses the phrase "leavened bread" in Exodus 12.)
