\v 7 The pig, although it has a split hoof, does not chew the cud, is unclean to you.
ISSUE: Garbled sentence construction as written.
SUGGESTION:
\v 7 The pig is unclean to you because although it has a split hoof, it does not chew the cud.
I think the ULB needs to be fixed, and Bob's suggestion is very clear, but it might be good to use a structure similar to what's in the previous verses.
Current ULB
\v 4 However, some animals either chew the cud or have a split hoof, and you must not eat them, animals such as the camel, because it chews the cud but does not have a split hoof. So the camel is unclean to you.
\s5
\v 5 Also the rock badger, because it chews the cud but does not have a split hoof, it is also unclean to you.
\v 6 The rabbit, because it chews the cud, but does not have a split hoof, is unclean to you.
\v 7 The pig, although it has a split hoof, does not chew the cud, is unclean to you.
Wow, there's some variety in the translation of those verses.
Suggstion A: The x, because it does this but not that, is unclean to you.
\v 4 However, some animals either chew the cud or have a split hoof, and you must not eat them, animals such as the camel. Because it chews the cud but does not have a split hoof, it is unclean to you.
\s5
\v 5 Also the rock badger, because it chews the cud but does not have a split hoof, is also unclean to you.
\v 6 The rabbit, because it chews the cud but does not have a split hoof, is unclean to you.
\v 7 The pig, because it has a split hoof but does not chew the cud, is unclean to you.
Suggestion B: The x--although it does this, it does not do that, so it is unclean to you.
\v 4 However, some animals either chew the cud or have a split hoof, and you must not eat them, animals such as the camel. Although it chews the cud, it does not have a split hoof, so it is unclean to you.
\s5
\v 5 Also the rock badger--although it chews the cud, it does not have a split hoof, so it is also unclean to you.
\v 6 The rabbit--although it chews the cud, it does not have a split hoof, so it is unclean to you.
\v 7 The pig--although it has a split hoof, it does not chew the cud, so it is unclean to you.
