* When King Saul massacred the priests, Abiathar escaped and went to David in the wilderness.
|

* After David's death, Abiathar turned against Solomon by helping Adonijah in his attempt to take away Solomon's kingship.
|
|
|
|
* Because of this, Solomon removed Abiathar from the priesthood.
