Possible meanings are 1) you will lose the respect of other people (UDB) 2) what is honorable about you is lost because of what you gave to the adulteress.

Possible meanings are 1) strangers will take your possessions (UDB) 2) the children you will have with the adulteress will take your inheritance. AT: "your bastard children enjoy your wealth, and your inheritance claimed by a family that is not your own"
