# Son of God

# we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ
Being "in" someone represents being united to him. Possible meanings are 1) the phrase "him who is true" refers to God, and the phrase "in his Son Jesus Christ" explains how we are in him who is true. AT: "we are united to him who is true by being united to his Son Jesus Christ" or 2) the phrase "in him who is true" refers to Jesus Christ, and the phrase "in his Son Jesus Christ" simply clarifies the meaning of "in him who is true." AT: "we are united him who is true, that is, to his Son Jesus Christ"
