## Hear, our God, for we are despised ##

## give them up to be plundered ##

Nehemiah asks Yahweh to have their enemies rob them. AT: "let their enemies rob them" (See [[rc://en/ta/man/translate/figs-activepassive]])

The phrase "their taunts" refers to Sanballat's and Tobiah's insults.

## in a land where they are prisoners ##

"in a land of captivity"

## Do not cover up ##

"Do not hide"

## so we built the wall ##
