\v 11 For the grace of God has appeared for the salvation of all people.
\v 12 It trains us to reject godlessness and worldly desires, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in this age,

trains us
Paul speaks of the grace of God (Titus 2:11) as if it were a person who goes to other people and trains them to live holy lives. (See: rc://en/ta/man/jit/figs-personification)

It's true that normally people train others, but is this really personification? Or is it just that Paul made it the subject of the verb "train" rather than marking it as the instrument. (I see that SIL-NT and ULB-TH both call it personification, but I'm still not convinced.)

Suggested note
It trains us
"The grace of God trains us" or "By his grace God teaches us" or "By it we learn"
