**Jesus himself**
Here "himself" emphasizes that Jesus was alone in the stern. Alternate translation: "Jesus himself was alone" (See: rc://en/ta/man/jit/figs-rpronouns)
That is not the function of "himself" here, and the Greek does not have a reflexive pronoun in this verse.
