* To show the locations of the names and tribes of Israel in relation to one another and the Mediterranean Sea and Jordan River.
(Some tribes were east of the Jordan.)
* To show the locations of important cities in the tribes: Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Shiloh, Bethel, Samaria. Perhaps some others.
