# Innocent
The word “innocent” is used to talk about someone who did not do anything wrong (see: Luke 23:47; Acts 20:26; 2 Corinthians 7:11; Hebrews 7:26).
A person sometimes has a legal trial and goes in front of a judge. This happens when someone else says the person did something wrong. If the judge says that the person did not do anything wrong, then the person is innocent.
Innocent is the opposite of guilty. Paul taught Christians to be innocent in all they do (see: Romans 16:19; Philippians 2:15).
