## They rose up ##
"They" refers to the two men. Languages that have a dual form of "they" should use it here. (See: [[rc://en/ta/man/translate/figs-pluralpronouns]])
## rose up ##
"got up" or "stood up"
## the eleven ##
This refers to Jesus' apostles. Judas was not with them.
## saying, "The Lord is risen indeed ##
The eleven apostles and those who were with them were saying this.
## So they told ##
"so the two men told"
## the things that happened on the way ##
This refers to Jesus appearing to them while they were on their way to the village of Emmaus.
## how Jesus was known of them ##
This can be translated with an active verb as "how they recognized Jesus." (See: [[rc://en/ta/man/translate/figs-activepassive]])
## in the breaking of the bread ##
"when Jesus broke the bread" or "when Jesus tore the bread"
