Update 'mrk/04/20.md'
I deleted the link to metaphor. I deleted the link to metonymy since it is not part of this verse. I deleted my confusing sentences contrasting what the seed represented in v14 (the word) and what it represents in 15 (the people). I changed the first note so that the snippet and AT match. I changed the second note so that it explains the meaning of the parable, rather than focusing on the images in the parable.

"These people are the seeds that fall on the good soil" or "These people are like seeds that fall on on the good soil." In [verse 14](./14.md), what the sower sows is "the word." Here Jesus speaks of what the sower sows as those who hear the word. (See: [[rc://en/ta/man/jit/figs-metonymy]] and [[rc://en/ta/man/jit/figs-metaphor]])

This refers to the grain that the plants produce. Alternate translation: "some produce thirty grains, some produce sixty grains, and some produce a hundred grains" or "some produce 30 times the grain that was sown, some produce 60 times the grain that was sown, and some produce 100 times the grain that was sown" (See: [[rc://en/ta/man/jit/figs-ellipsis]] and [[rc://en/ta/man/jit/translate-numbers]])

Fruit represents the results or the effect of God's word in a person's life. The numbers tell how much fruit, or results, there might be. Alternate translation: "and produce good results, like plants that bear thirty, sixty, or even a hundred times as much fruit as what was sown" (See: [[rc://en/ta/man/jit/translate-numbers]])
