These verses are a break from John's account of his vision. Here he give a warning to the people reading his account.
# If anyone has an ear

# If anyone is to be taken

# If anyone is to be taken into captivity
This can be stated in active form. The noun "captivity" can be stated with the verb "capture." AT: "If it is God's will for the enemy to capture a certain person" (See: [[rc://en/ta/man/translate/figs-activepassive]] and [[rc://en/ta/man/translate/figs-abstractnouns]])
# into captivity he will go

# If anyone is to be killed with a sword
